Four piece rockers Saints Of Arcadia released their debut EP XI.V.MMXIV earlier this year. The band have adopted a unique sound, with hints of classic rock, slithers of some electronic and a tonne of killer solos. Each track has a positive energy to it and something about the way the album is delivered is very uplifting. They have crafted a sound that would be appealing to every spectrum of music lover, dipping their toes in something heavy but keeping a clean edge.

The first single from the EP was released in the summer of 2013 and this track opens the album after the introduction. Set you free is well placed as a strong start to an incredible set of tracks. The vocal melody accompanied by the guitar is catchy and guaranteed will be stuck in your head for ages.

On Spotify, Saints Of Arcadia's most played track is The Masquerade. This track will make you think you can dance a hell of a lot better than you can, but while it’s playing it doesn’t matter. The first verse is fast paced and exiting and after the chorus the song leads into a second verse where the vocals get huskier and the instrumentation gets more intense.

State Of Grace is a personal favourite, while it’s more chilled out than the rest of the EP the song contains some of the best soloing I have heard in ages. The atmosphere in each chorus is captivating, it’s the sort of song you share with a friend in the car on full volume, air guitaring and dash board drumming.

As a whole the album is well placed together, it’s the perfect rock ‘n’ roll feel good record. The band have created a sound that is distinctive and consistent throughout the EP and I strongly recommend giving the EP a listen or catching them at a show.
