After completing a tour of the UK with InMe, Danni Monroe from The Dirty Youth took the time to answer some important questions about sneezing and stuff.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to have a chat with us. You’ve just finished UK tour with InMe, how was it?

It was awesome thank you. They were all really nice guys and all enjoyed the odd alcoholic beverage: it quickly turned into a 14 day party!

Good to hear. What would you say was your favourite show of the tour?

For me, it would have to be The Basement in Nottingham. Everyone was up for a crazy party that night, so the spirits were high from the first sound check. The crowd were great and the after show party rocked hard! Was so good to see so many TDY shirts in the crowd as well.

How does it feel playing these intimate shows in places like the Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton? Does it get a bit worrying if the crowd aren’t ‘into it’ straight away?

Wolverhampton was a great show for us. It was last show of the tour and only the second time we have played there. As with any tour support, you have to win the crowd over; when people see a new band they take it all in for a few songs. By song 3 they'll lose their shit :)

You've toured with some pretty big bands over the years, how does touring with InMe compare?

We really respect those guys as musicians and they have achieved huge milestones in their career, I remember watching them on Main Stage at Reading Festival a few years back. I don't really see them as any different to playing with any other bands we've supported. They killed it every night!

New album Gold Dust was released this year, how has the feedback been?

Incredible. We couldn't have asked for more really. The fans were singing all the words at the shows and the good reviews keep flooding in. We love the album and as long as the people at the shows are having a good time that’s all we care about!

How have the new tracks gone down live?

Our fans have already learnt most of the words from various live recordings and music videos online. We even had fans turn up wearing the flashing glasses I wore on the Fozzy tour for our last single The One.

You’ve got Camden Rocks in under a fortnight, looking forward to that? Where and when can people see you?

We're playing the Monarch at 9pm. Yeah we can't wait and loads of our mates' bands from Wales are playing too. Look out London we’re coming for you!!

Anything else planned for the year? A headline tour maybe?

Of course, this is set to be our busiest year yet. We're just waiting to confirm the next tour any day now and are already recording new material, so who knows there could even be another surprise release to run alongside later in the year ;)

The Dirty Youth are 8 years old now, how has the experience been so far? Lived up to your expectations?

Looking back it's been a crazy journey and it isn't until someone reels off what we have achieved that we really sit up and think, yeah we're doing it… Living our dream :)

What would you say the highlights have been?

Playing Download Festival 3 times, Hyde Park, touring with Korn, Fozzy, The Rasmus, Bruce Springsteen and releasing 2 albums which we are incredibly proud of.

You recently put out a casting call for a new video, sounds like it’s going to be great fun?

Yeah, We start filming this weekend. I cant really give too much away at the moment… Watch this space.

Now, normally here we play a game of cards to choose the last few questions, but I’ve gone and chosen 5 random cards for you with some random questions:

5 of clubs: Who is the most talented member of the band?

It would be unfair for me to answer that...Me of course ;p

10 of spades: Who is your musical hero?

Dead - Freddie Mercury

Alive - Benji Webbe

King of Spades: Ever had anything memorable thrown on stage?

Our first year playing Download Festival, something hit me and i instantly thought 'oh shit, I've been bottled' I looked down and it was a little bag of weed, with a love heart sweet and a 2p for weight.

Ace of clubs: What is your favourite song cover?

Our mash up of Killing In The Name and Boom! Shake The Room. We had to play that for years as fans would chant it at the end of every show, one time even the police were called as people on the street thought there was a riot! Safe to say that it was well received.

Queen of clubs: Would you rather have hiccups forever or always feel like you need to sneeze?

Oh hiccups any day. I have the loudest and most annoying sneeze in the world, it's like a half cough, half sneeze.

Good stuff, thanks very much for talking to us and all the best for the rest of the year.

Thank you! See you on the beach!
