Yorkshire based Of Allies have released their second EP, Fragments. The follow up to their debut release Tempers comes off the back of an absolute tonne of hard work by the lads and that shows through massively.

The EP kicks off with a hair raising riff signaling the beginning of title track Fragments. That combined with haunting vocals and rhythm guitars gives the listener an all consuming sound that may feel familiar. Up next, and the highlight of a very good product, is ONE19. It carries on the pace, the power and the anthemic feel of the EP. The opening riff is a thing of beauty and it's unrelenting from there.

From here Old Bones and Tempers keep the riffs coming and the pace barely drops until closing track Call It Home. Like the whole piece, the final song has a familiar feel to it, maybe it's the 90s pop style lead and backing vocals on this track, maybe it's just the fact that even throughout the first listen it can feel like you already know the EP inside out. Who knows? Who cares? Of Allies have created an EP that feels far beyond their couple of year career and they're getting the attention that they are due.

The Hull rockers have set out their stall for 2015 and we're liking what they're selling. It could be a big year for Of Allies and we're glad to be able to bring Fragments to your ears. You'll be hooked within seconds and singing along in minutes. We were.
